Eligible Projects

Community Visioning

Visioning projects capture a community’s aspirations for the future, bringing people together to a shared vision for what they want their community to become.

Transportation Master Plan

A transportation master plan focuses on long-term strategies for the transportation future in a community or region. It’s a big-picture roadmap that looks ahead 10 to 20+ years to guide the development, management, and improvement of transportation systems.

Active Transportation Plan

An active transportation plan is all about making it easier and safer for people to get around without a car, including by walking, biking, and other forms of physical activity. It can include creating clear and helpful wayfinding to make it easier to navigate the community by foot or bike.

Corridor or Small Area Plan

A corridor or small area plan focuses on the needs of a defined area. This could be a specific travel corridor, the area around a transit station or highway interchange, a community's downtown, or something similar. These plans bring more definition and detail to the area than a community's general plan.

General Plan

A general plan, also known as a comprehensive plan or master plan, is a big-picture guide for how a community or region will grow and develop over the long term. It’s a foundational document that guides the coordinated development of land and transportation systems in a way that reflects the community’s vision for the future.

Zoning and/or Subdivision Code Update

Updating zoning and subdivision codes is a key part of planning that ensures local land use rules match the community’s broader goals, as laid out in the general plan. These codes also serve to coordinate land development with transportation systems.
